Q: What is Elisda large file send / share service?
A: This is an online file transfer program. It enables registered account holders to send large files and receive files directly to and from anyone over the Internet. No one except the account holder or designated recipients can ever access the data sent via Elisda

Q: Can I try the web application before I pay for it?
A: Sure. Create a FREE account first and try all functionality of our web application. FREE account has 10MB bandwidth limitation. If you like our service, please buy extra bandwidth.

Q: Can I send files using Elisda?
A: Yes, any files within your Elisda account can be sent to any recipient with an Email address. Your selected recipient will receive an Email notification notifying them that files are available for them to download. An encrypted code will be sent along with that notification to ensure that only your designated recipients will have access to those files. Files are forced to download.

Q: How do I send files with Elisda?
A: First you have to upload the file onto the system. Log into the account, go to My Files, and click Upload files. You can use our Java applet ftp upload solution of you want to upload large files > 10MB. After that, your file will be available for sending. To send a file,  select the file you want to send, and then add email address of the recipient. Fill in the email address of the recipient to whom you wish to send file and system will sent an email notification that the file is available for download.

Q: Does the sender of a file sent via Elisda need to install any programs?
A: No. The sender visits the account holder's Elisda web site, select the file to send, and click "MAIL ICON".  Java Runtime Environment is required to upload files > 10MB.

Q: What does Band width Limit mean?
A: The bandwidth [ transfer ]  limit is the amount of data included for sent and received files through your account. Your account will be suspended if the over usage limit is triggered. An account holder can check the status of their account at any time.
For example, if someone sends you a 10MB file, and you download the file once, the total amount of data transferred is 20MB. If you download the file twice, then the total amount of data transferred is 30MB. Deleting a file does not increase the amount of data transferred.

Q: What does Disk Storage Limit mean?
A: The disk storage limit is the maximum amount of data you can have residing on Elisda at any one time.  Any file will take up storage space until you delete it from the system. If the total storage space used exceeds the storage limit for your plan, uploads are not available until either the plan is upgraded to one with more storage limit, or existing files are deleted.

Q: How long is a billing period?
No billing period . You pay as you go. You will be able to buy bandwidth when required in blocks of 500MB, 1GB 2GB 3GB and 4GB.

Q: What are the system requirements for running the Elisda application?
A: Any computer with Internet Connection and a web browser (Version 4 or higher). Java RE required for large file upload.

Q: How do I send a file to multiple people?
A: You can send the file to yourself and then later forward the delivery notification to different people. Please note that every time you download a file you are charged for the bandwidth usage. Once you reach bandwidth maximum, you will not be able to download any more files.

Q: I deleted a file that I sent through your site. Is there any way I can access that file?
A: Once a file has been removed from our servers, it is no longer accessible. The original sender would have to upload it again.

Q: Why am I having problems uploading/downloading large files?
A: You may be experiencing network timeouts during long transfers. This is due to service problems between your network provider and ours. If this happens try uploading at a later time.

Q: How long should it take to upload my file?
A: It depends on how much available bandwidth you have, who your Internet Service Provider (ISP) is, the routing between your ISP and our servers, how busy our servers are, etc. In any case, you should expect it to take several hours for large files.

Q: My friend uploaded a file using Elisda, but I never got the email notification. What happened? Can you resend the notification?
A: There are several possibilities. Your friend could have misspelled your email address, causing the email notification to bounce. There could be a problem with your ISP's mail server, causing it to reject our email. Our email may have gotten caught in your spam filters. Please contact your friend to resend the download link to your correct address.
